I always enjoy the atmosphere of Jane Mays office and on this day I had two fillings scheduled. My dental chair faced two windows which viewed the outdoors and this made the procedure very relaxing. Everyone treated me first class and work proceeded seemingly effortlessly from my viewpoint, although I know the job was much more difficult than I describe.

Jane is so much more than an excellent health care practitioner. I am facing some serious dental issues that will involve treatment from highly specialized surgeons. Dr. Mays met with me today to confirm the appropriateness and value of the proposed treatment plans. She clearly explained how my dental health will be improved by taking these significant steps now and how my overall health will benefit in the future.

Nice personal staff and understanding with.my situation. My dental circumstances are rather complicated. The X-Ray dental.assistant did a wonderful job and the dentist was understanding for my situation. Thank you for making my screening comfortable. Will be in contact after I get the surgery part figured out.

Always ontime. On this visit Doc & assistant explained what they were doing for 2nd stage of 2 implants procedures and a crown and informed me how long it would take (2 hrs 50 minutes). Mays and assistant completed casts, removed and replaced temporay covers, on both crown and posts, etc. The complexity of the above work has to have a plan and procedural steps to impliment. I am in phase 2, back to Mays for the next step. After doing their thing, Doc Mays gave me information of contacting a person who was to custom color match my teeth and then establish a time frame for the next step in my journey. I had applied for a loan recommended by the office. When the loan was approved in advance, the money was loaded onto a credit card for the dental work. Also the office had submitted my treatment plan to my insurance, before hand. This step allowed me to find out on paper exactly what insurance would pay and my portion to pay. Once Dr Mays was finished the office manager took my card for payment and was able to set up on the spot the discount of an 18 month same as cash, on my loan card. They made it easier and less expensive for me over the long run if I pay on time. Great doc and staff! My family has been with this dental office for at least 25 years starting with cleaning, bridges, kids, implants, referrals, braces, surgery, you name it. Dr. Mays is a perfectionist and I love her work.

I've been going to Dr Mays for years. Every staff member is welcoming and I always feel like I am a priority. The staff understands that some patients have fear sitting in a dentist chair. Feel confidant in your choice to choose Dr. Mays. I've always been very happy with her work and chair side manner. Thank you Dr. Mays and Staff!

As usual you did a very thorough job of keeping my teeth healthy. I arrived thinking I was only needing a simple cleaning, since I had numerous other procedures this year, but I was surprised to find that X-rays and specific deep cleaning were also needed. As always it was quickly and professionally executed within the time window.

Dentally speaking, my experience was, as always, very good. I especially enjoyed the vanilla cupcake flavored fluoride treatment. However, afterward I had a craving for a cup of coffee with my cupcake, and one cannot drink hot liquids for a few hours after that treatment. That Jane Mays, Carrie, and the entire staff - they're keepers. In summary, highly professional, personable, and good people.

Your guys did great today! Every aspect was exceptional, reception was welcoming and cordial, hygienist was engaging, informative, professional (BTW congratulations on your recent marriage), and you did a fabulous job with ALL my stained teeth, reception was again friendly and offered a contagious smile that lifted my spirits for the rest of the day. Dr Mays is the best dentist I’ve ever had. Her top priority is to take excellent care of your teeth. It’s important to her that you receive top notch service and maintain excellent dental health. She’s always available for your needs. She has wonderful hygienists and dental assistants who share in her philosophy of providing the best care. I would highly recommend her to everyone.

I was really stunned at how painless the procedure (Removal of a crown and installation of a temp crown) was. The Dr Mays and the team were so considerate, personable, and yet professional it was a truly enjoyable experience. The equipment is like something out of Star Trek to an old codger like me. If you've got to go to a dentist (and we all do), This is the place to go. Dr. Mays and Company will give you the best.

I don’t do change well, so when Aimee was gone and I was assigned to Brooke I was uncomfortable. Glad to report that Brooke is excellent in both skill and interpersonal relationships. Perhaps in the future when a long time hygienist leaves and someone else is assigned you could send the patient an email introducing the new hygienist with a few details like education or how she/he selected her career and hobbies.. 😊

Dr Mays and her staff couldn't have been more professional, friendly and welcoming, They accomplished their tasks with not only personal competence but with equipment that I had not seen before and made much more sense to me than that with which I had been exposed to in prior dental offices. This was a very positive experience in a very positive environment.

Yesterday had my semi annual cleaning and check up. Everything went well. Teeth feel extra clean. Also was told about early signs of potential issues on two teeth and given pointers on how to further improve self care by using Gum brushes for certain teeth. Have been a patient for several years and continue to feel I get excellent service in a great environment.

I started with sensitivity to my mouth many years ago. 5 or 6 years ago it got worse. They offered gel numbing which helped get through. Last 3 years it got so bad they offered numbing my gums with injections. It hurts to get done but if they didn't offer this when they did I most likely would have stopped going to any dentist. They have always been so nice and accommodating. Thankful for all of them.

I can't give enough appreciation to my hygienist Angie Bays. She is the reason I am faithful to my health.I have a lot of anxiety (and lots of oral issues). Going to the dentist is scary but I know when I see Angie all is well. I go every quarter.(ugh!) She is a true expert with the health of my mouth but most of all SHE IS A COMFORT. She spends the time to put me at ease,we laugh and joke and before I know it I'm good to go! I couldn't do what it takes to keep healthy without her loving special care. I recommend this special professional to everyone.

My recent appointment was for a cleaning with Angie. She has been my hygienist for several years and I cannot say enough good things about her. First, she genuinely cares about her patients. She is also professional, thorough, pays attention to details and she listens. I have the utmost confidence in her work.

I have taken my daughter to Jane Mays Dentistry since she was a little girl. We have always had a great experience; from the front office to the dental assistants and Jane Mays herself. Angie in particular has always been outstanding and has made her feel comfortable from the first visit. My daughter actually enjoys her visit and looks forward to going. Have been a patient of Dr. Mays for about 10 years. Went to my semi annual checkup/cleaning with Dr. Mays and her assistant Ami. The office was extremely clean an orderly relieving any Covid concerns immediately. Ami efficiently took X rays and cleaned my teeth. Dr. Mays also checked my teeth and X rays. Everything was done efficiently and effectively with warm cordial grace. I would certainly recommend Dr. Mays to friends and family.

Dr. Mays has been my dentist since she took over the Hyde Park office. My experience with Dr. Mays and the office in general has been excellent. Dr. Mays and the staff listen to my concerns, offer options, and work with me on determining procedures. The office is welcoming and personable while maintaining serious professionalism. While going to the dentist has never been one of my favorite activities, I know I will receive expert care and personal attention at my appointments. July 22, 2020 I appreciated how careful the office and procedures were due to the corona virus. I had been apprehensive about a dental visit during this difficult time, but was relieved to see how many precautions have been implemented. Thanks to the staff. November 4, 2020 Once again I was pleased with the care and attention paid to Covid protocol. Thanks to an observant and careful staff!

I never minded going to the dentist but Dr.Mays and associates make it feel more pleasant and comfortable. The staff has always been very nice and helpful. They are very friendly, efficient and professional. Dr.Mays is so nice and explains everything she is doing. I am happy I found such a great group.

Even during the pandemic, the staff is thorough in making sure that everything is being kept clean without being too obvious and that my experience was nothing less than outstanding. I greatly appreciate the dental services I receive at Dr. Mays' office. All the techs are well versed in their procedures and Dr. Mays always takes time to check on me in person. I am so grateful to not have to worry about my dental health... I have witnessed family members whom suffered tooth decay, pain and the resulting corrective expenses in the past. There is great peace of mind knowing I will not have that experience.... Dr. Mays and her team are very thorough and focused on the best possible care for long-term oral health.

It's a sad day when you move out of town and have to leave behind the dentist you really respect and appreciate. I've been a patient with Dr. Mays for many years and have had outstanding care. At least my leaving opens a spot for a new fortunate patient. That's a positive way to look at my departure.

I had the most detail cleaning with all the latest technology available. X- rays were done fast along with a compete set of photographs also done fast. Amie then started her cleaning and polishing. Dr. Mays came in and did a complete inspection of my entire mouth and gums. No pain, no hassle, I listened to classical music on their headphones that they provided for me. Highly recommend Dr. Jane Mays and Amie.

Had my semi annual teeth cleaning with Dr. Mays and once more experienced that my teeth got so much more than just a cleaning. X-Rays were taken and reviewed and a complete discussion of the issues and next steps that should be taken on my teeth was had with my tech, Elizabeth and Dr. Mays. I came away feeling that I was receiving great care and was confident that my teeth would be around for many more years.

I had a tooth fracture yesterday and called this morning with a request to have it examined. Your office was able to "work-me-in" this morning. Tammy O'Neil took Xrays and prepped me for Dr. May's examination. The situation was a bit complicated, however, two options were developed and covered in detail. I was given a copy of both for consideration. Thank you for excellent service.

As always, from the time you enter the reception area to the time you leave, everyone is always happy to see you. There is not a time when you don't feel the warm, friendly, and professional atmosphere with each person who meets you and the truly compassionate care you receive is unmatched. During my new patient appointment every staff member I interacted with introduced themselves, welcomed me and were just incredibly friendly and hospitable. While a new patient appointment was two hours (!) it was probably the most thorough oral exam I've ever had with no guilt or judgement that it had been awhile.

I have visited many dentists in my life for cleanings, cavities, root canal and TMJ. Dr. Mays dentist office is set apart from other dentists with a few reasons... 1. Environment: it's in a cozy house feel vs a sterile dentist office, making the experience more comfortable. They'll even let me put in headphones while the noisy procedures go on, adding some calm to the visit. 2. High standards: no dentist I ever had performed tests they do at Dr. Mays like detailed cleanings, prevention, or educate me on the importance of each procedure to ensure transparency and real reason why it matters to better motivate their patients towards better health. 3. TMJ results: I had painful TMJ where I could barely open my mouth to eat a sandwich. I called around for help and no dentist said they could do anything. I saw a chiropractor and participated in physical therapy and nothing helped (and costs me lots). I luckily found Dr. Mays and she checked me out, got me a stent that helps relieve my jaw at night, and when I get a cleaning or any work done they placed in a mouth prop that helps my jaw feel instantly better for days. Dr. Mays and her team improved my quality of life, and I am grateful to call them my dentist specialists!

Dr. Mays and all of her staff, from the office personnel to all the members of the dental team, are the absolute best. Everyone on the staff is friendly, welcoming, and personable. I've never had a dentist who was so committed to providing the best care and to utilizing the latest equipment and practices.

When Dr. Scheer retired, Dr Mays took over the practice. I originally went to Dr. Scheer because I had a unique “oral” situation due to radiation received in 1997 as treatment for oral cancer (reduced salivary function, limited ability to “open wide,” etc). I’ve stayed with Dr. Mays, and have been satisfied with her service and staff. She keeps a good eye on things, and does routine checks and exams for problems. And, she’s patient with my needs, and is appreciative of my desire to minimize exposure to x-rays/radiation since I’ve already had my lifetime limit! Plus, I like supporting a woman led business😄.

I have been a patient with Dr. Mays since she came here. I have had other hygentists but this was my first time with Elizabeth. She was so nice she made me comfortable right away. She was friendly and we even laughed. Her care was precise and gentle. She explained everything ahead of time. I would recommend her to anyone.

The ladies in the office are friendly and always helpful. Dr. Mays has a personal interaction at each visit. My hygienist, Angie explains all procedures thoroughly. Anytime someone I know mentions that they don't like their dentist, or needs a new one, I tell them to come here. Dr. Mays and her staff are caring, compassionate, sensitive and always able to describe all of the "why" reasons for any recommendation they make. I literally cannot say enough good things.

My long time dentist retired. I surveyed my friends and two recommended Dr Jane. She is terrific. Her office runs like clockwork. All of the staff is very warm and friendly. The hygienist gave me a serious tutorial today on oral health. They look at your dental health holistically. I feel like the practice is very up to date. My goal is to improve my dental health so I can keep my teeth and gums healthy forever. I believe Dr Jane and her team will help me do that !

Although I go to this practice in part because of Dr. Mays, it is more so because of Angie who is not only incredibly competent, but funny, engaging, and sensitive to my anxiety around dental procedures. I would highly recommend requesting Angie if you want the experience to be as positive as going to the dentist can be!

Dr. Mays and her hygienist, Angie, are thorough, intelligent, and take an approach that considers oral health as a part of total health. Dentist visits are never very pleasant for me, but I feel very confident in this office, in this staff, and in the quality of care I receive here. Competence radiates from these people and they do their best to make the experience as pleasant as possible. I am glad this is the dentist I chose.

I have extremely sensitive teeth... They use novacain shots to numb... They work hard to make me comfortable to get me through it... Once I had babysitting issues with my then 8 year old... They treated him great.. Have him his own toothbrush, and answered his questions... I recommend them big time... Never had bad appt.

I have always had a very enjoyable experience with the entire staff and every procedure they have performed. The staff is always friendly and all procedures are explained thoroughly. I would highly recommend changing dentists as I feel the staff and Dr. Mays are very dedicated to helping each patient learn how to better protect our dental / oral health for many years to come.

Very professional and friendly office environment. This office offers top notch treatments that I never even heard about until my mom Suzanne started working there. The staff is great and educate you as they go through your cleaning or other procedures. I love that one-on-one knowledge building; to me that makes going to the dentist a much more pleasant experience. Dr. Mays always welcomes me with a warm and comforting smile. Love this place!

I was seen right at my appointment time. The hygienist performed a thorough cleaning and evaluation of my teeth. She answered all my questions politely and in a way I clearly understood her. Not only was she professional but very pleasant as well. As usual, Dr. Mays was also her friendly and professional self. She set out my treatment options and took time to answer all my questions. I never felt rushed.
